Mission Statement:

 

Creating Awareness for Christ is a ministry dedicated to bringing Christ to the hearts of all people.  Through speaking, print and audio visual media, our goal is to bring awareness to Christ's unchanging love for us.  We are passionate about bringing awareness to the truth that only through His Love, and our acceptance of His Love, we can overcome life's challenges and live powerful and victorious lives now and forever more. 

 

John 10:10 - The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.

 

If you desire, you can have life right now!  To accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior:

 

1. Admit you are a sinner. (Roman 3:23)

2. Understand that as a sinner, you deserve death. (Romans 6:23)

3. Confess and believe Jesus Christ died on the cross to save you from sin and death. (Romans 10:9-10)

4. Repent by turning from your old life of sin to a new life in Christ. (Romans 5:8)

5. Receive, through faith in Jesus Christ, his free gift of salvation. (Romans 5:1)

 

Congratulations! You are now a follower of Christ.  You may not feel different right now, but you must believe by faith!  Be sure to plug in to a local, Christ following, Bible believing church so that you may continually grow in Christ.

 

 

 

 

About Calvina Banner, Founder

Real.  Compassionate.  Encouraging.

 

Real - Since she was a young girl, Calvina knew she was called to minister.  “I remember it like it was yesterday,” Calvina recalls. “ I was sitting on the pew in my granddad’s church.  I had to be about nine or 10 years old.  My grandfather was giving the sermon and I was giving him my full attention as I did most Sundays.  While other kids my age and older were not paying attention or ready to go, I was focused and listening.  I remember the Lord spoke to my spirit, ‘You are different’.  It was then that I knew I was called”.

 

Compassionate - Amid her own life’s experiences and challenges, from being a product of alcoholic parents, to being homeless, to experiencing unhealthy, domestic relationships, Calvina’s empathy for others and concern for their internal well-being grew stronger and stronger and continues to grow to this day. 

 

Encouraging - As founder of Creating Awareness For Christ Inc., Calvina’s desire is to see all of us live according to the life that Jesus Christ died for us to have.  Through her teaching ministry, lives are changed by practical application of God’s Word.

 

Calvina currently resides in Plainfield, Illinois with her husband Ronald and three children, Ronald, Amaya, and Aubrei, Chihuahua, Laia and Yorkie, Luke.  Along with sharing her teaching gift worldwide, at her local church, Calvina enjoys singing on the Praise and Worship team and serving in the Women's Ministry.
